Xploring Hungary Video: Budafok Wine Cellars
Budafok is the twenty-second district of Budapest, in the south-west of the capital and it is famous for its 100km long underground labirynth which is unique in the world.

These huge underground passages, being 5 meters high at many places, were formed 250-300 years ago as parts of a quarry.

Today approximately 30-40km of the underground passages are being used for storing wine. You can find wines here from all the 22 wine-regions of Hungary.

Budafok also gives home to the famous Törley Champagne Manufactury and Museum. Here you can learn more about birth and development of the Hungarian champagne culture.

Another unique sight is the Záborszky Winery & Wine City. In the winery barrels of different types developed based on centuries-old traditions and masterpieces of wood carvers can be viewed on the historic row of barrels.

Visitors can admire the relics of the history of architecture of the Hungarian wine regions in the Wine Street.
