Covid Update: 155,217 Active Cases 143 New Deaths In Hungary
4,926 new cases were confirmed. The number of people infected with the corona virus in Hungary now stands at 529,122. The number of deaths stands at 17,226 while the number of those recovered now stands at 356,679.

155,217 is the number of active infected, 9,844 patients are hospitalized, 1037 of them are on ventilators.

Vaccination is ongoing, with  1,347,073 people vaccinated, of which 399,505 have already received their second vaccination.

We are in a steep ascent of the third wave of the epidemic, the British virus mutant is spreading very fast, there is a significant increase in the number of active infections and hospital patients, which is why the government has decided to tighten restrictions.

The additional protection measures that took effect in until 22 March are:
* Wearing a mask is mandatory on all streets and public areas within the residential area.
* If possible, keep a protective distance of at least 1.5 meters from the other person.
* Work is possible, but where possible, we recommend working from home. In the state administration, work from home can be ordered, except for those who contribute to the defense.

The evening curfew is still in force between 8pm and 5am. One case of exemption from the curfew is work, which, however, needs to be justified.
