Man Detained After he Claimed Vaccinations Wiped out Entire Village in Hungary

Criminal proceedings were ordered against a man from Nagykanizsa for claiming on social media that everyone in a small village near Nyíregyháza had died after being vaccinated, police Lt. Col. Róbert Kiss announced at the emergency task force press conference.
The mayor of the town refuted the allegations, and police found that the suspect had invented the story himself.
He was detained on May 11 and accused of spreading fake news and hindering protection against the epidemic.
