Bocuse d’Or Back in Budapest
The European final of the Bocuse d’Or, the world’s most prestigious cooking competition, takes place at the Hungexpo in Budapest on Wednesday and Thursday, with the participation of 17 countries, including Hungary.

This year, the Hungarian competitor will be Bence Dalnoki, sous chef of the Michelin-starred Stand restaurant, and his commis will be Patrik Nyikos.

Tamás Széll, winner of the European title in 2012 and 2016, will be the team’s coach, and Szabina Szulló will represent Hungary on the international jury.

In all, 24 teams including 10 European entrants, will advance to the Bocuse d’Or 2023 World Final in Lyon. According to the tradition, teams have to prepare two meals.

The Bocuse d’Or will take place as part of the Sirha Budapest International Gastronomic Exhibition, which has 300 exhibitors from 18 countries this year.
