Cold Weather Record for May 19 Broken in Hungary
Temperatures in Budapest and Hungary fell to record lows on May 19, with freezing temperatures in several places overnight, according to the Hungarian Meteorological Service (OMSZ).

The mercury hit minus 1.2 C. in the village of Zabar, in northern Hungary, on Tuesday, OMSZ said on its Facebook page.

The previous daily record of minus 1.1 C. had been measured in Fügöd village, in the northeast, in 1952.
