Four-Day Work Week Test in Hungary by Telco Giant
Magyar Telekom will launch a pilot project examining the feasibility of a four-day work week, the first large corporation in Hungary to carry out such an experiment, the company announced on Thursday.

Four teams, including both support and customer service areas, will switch to a four-day work schedule from July to October.

“Experimentation is our core value, we proactively and boldly try out new things that we believe can improve our operations and improve our colleagues’ development and quality of life”, Magyar Telekom said.

At the same time, the company is conducting comprehensive research that can be used to initiate a dialogue with labour market participants on the results, said chief personnel officer Zsuzsanna Friedl.
