8. Roxy Rooftop Lounge - top picture above

9. St. Andrea Wine & Skybar

St. Andrea Wine & Skybar is located on the top of Váci 1 office building, above Vörösmarty Square.

There are great views of the pedestrian shopping street, the Christmas Market during the winter and the Citadel across the river. After shopping at the nearby Fashion Street, take a break here with an energizing drink.

The bar-restaurant is open all year round and has indoor seating and a panoramic outdoor terrace. Try the white and red wines coming from the St. Andrea vineyard from the Eger wine region.

10. The Sky Garden

On the top of Mystery Hotel, there is a garden hidden above the city. Despite the hustle and bustle of the area, enjoy the calm vibes with a nice drink at The Sky Garden.

From here, admire the Western Railways Station’s impressive building, designed be Eiffel and views of the Buda Castle and Gellért Hill. Part of the roof terrace is decorated with Doric columns and lush vegetation and there is a small area that can be rented for private events. 

11. Solid

SOLID, located on the seventh floor of Hotel Rum is an exciting wine bar. It is the little sister of the hotel’s Michelin-starred SALT restaurant.

Here, in addition to the panorama of Budapest, including the curves of Gellért hill and the Royal Palace, the main focus is on the wines.

Local, international, sparkling and non-sparkling wines are highlighting natural and biodynamic features. The extended opening hours on the weekends are great for a hearty breakfast or brunch, not only for the hotel’s guests, but for everyone.

12. Westend Roof Garden

Enjoy the illuminated city and the romance of the rooftops of Pest with a delicious drink and your friends at the Sky Bar & Pool by Cortile Hotel.

The small bar is kind of hidden among the buildings providing a unique view of the district. In addition to cocktails, you can have a refreshing dip at the infinity pool.

The hotel is committed to protecting the environment, so you will need to bring your own towels from home.

This month, a cool cocktail bar open at Buda Castle, its character as rare as the bird it’s named after.

It’s not every day that you see the roof tiles of Matthias Church and the raven statues while sipping a cocktail or nibbling on a delicious bar snack.

The view from the White Raven, newly opened atop the Hilton Hotel, stretches even further, in fact, to take in the whole of Margaret Island, the Buda hills and even the National Theatre and millennial arts complex.

The seven signature cocktails created by bar manager Mátyás Barta are linked in some way to a raven’s tail feathers, and each named after a positive characteristic. 

Bátorság (‘Bravery’) fans out as it is presented, revealing beetroot with its bright colours and, as you sip, gin, white cocoa, blackcurrant, strawberry , verjus, coconut water and a beetroot-and-coconut foam.
