El Greco Exhibition Now Showing in Budapest Extends Opening Hours After Attracting Over 100,000 Visitors
Over 100,000 people have visited the El Greco exhibition at the Museum of Fine Arts since it opened at the end of October.

In view of the keen interest, the museum will open at 9 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, one hour earlier than usual.

The presentation of more than 50 paintings by Domenikos Theotokopoulos, (1541-1614) known as El Greco, is the first comprehensive exhibit in Hungary of the work of the artist, who spent most of his working life in Spain.

In its statement, the Museum of Fine Arts says that it has one of the most significant collections of Spanish painting in Europe.

The El Greco exhibit ends on February 19.
