Used Cars Sales Rise 4% in January

Used car sales in Hungary rose by an annual 4% to nearly 69,000 in January, listings site JoAutok.hu said on Monday, citing figures compiled by Datahouse.

Companies have started replacing their fleets after postponing purchases last year, which could liven up the used car market, JoAutok.hu CEO Bertalan Halász said.

Motorway Vignette Sales for 2026 Start in Hungary

Sales of Hungary’s 2026 motorway vignettes began on December 8, 2025, and by December 14 around 23,000 annual vignettes had already been sold, the National Toll Payment Service (NÚSZ) said on Tuesday. This includes 8,500 nationwide passes, 13,000 county passes, and 1,500 passes restricted to the M1 motorway.
