Germany Turns Away Hungarian Eurocity Train Leaving Hundreds Stranded at Boarder
Some 350 passengers were forced to disembark at the Czech-German border on Sunday when German rail authorities refused to allow a MÁV-Start Hungária EuroCity train to enter the country, due to its “inappropriate” technical condition.

The air-conditioning did not work in one carriage and the upper part of one of the windows was broken.

The train was not allowed to continue its journey to Hamburg.

The passengers were left at the Decin station on the Czech side of the border and were told to make their own travel arrangements.

German authorities have often turned back Czech trains at the same station in the past year, according to reports.
