The Hungarian government is preparing a substantial Ft 100,000 school start subsidy (iskolakezdési támogatás) aimed at significantly easing households' education-related expenses ahead of the upcoming academic year.
The Hungarian government will not block the start of European Union accession negotiations with Ukraine if Kyiv guarantees the rights of the Hungarian minority, Prime Minister Peter Magyar said in an interview published in the Thursday edition of French daily Le Monde, quoting remarks Magyar made to the newspaper during his visit to Paris the previous day.
"The Tisza Party will amend the constitution unless President Tamas Sulyok resigns from his post," Prime Minister Peter Magyar said in front of the presidential Sandor Palace on Monday.
"We have agreed with the President of the European Commission on the release of 16.4 billion euros, approximately 6,000 billion forints, in EU funds," Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced in Brussels on Friday.
