On Saturdays, the N2 nostalgia tram runs along the Pest side of the Danube, while on Sundays the N19 operates on the Buda riverfront. 

On Sundays, the N4 route features iconic Ikarus buses travelling between Zugló and Zugliget, offering a nostalgic journey through Budapest's public transport history.

This Saturday, passengers can ride the distinctive "Bengali" tram, named after its characteristic sound, on the N2 route between Jászai Mari Square and Boráros Square.

On Sunday, the N19 tram serves the Buda side of the city, while the N4 line runs classic Ikarus buses between Erzsébet királyné útja underpass and the Zugligeti Libegő chairlift.

On 9 August, the more than 70-year-old IK-60T trolleybus will operate on the N70 route between Kossuth Lajos Square and Erzsébet királyné útja underpass. The day's programme also includes special vehicles on the N18 and N19 nostalgia tram routes, including the 115-year-old BVVV K-type tram.

On 15 August, you can enjoy a ride aboard an open-top convertible Ikarus bus on route N109, while tram No. 1522, built in 1939, will operate on the N2 line. The following day, vintage trams and classic Ikarus buses will once again be in service.

As part of the 20 August national holiday celebrations, museum trams will operate in Kispest on the N42-50 route along the Hoffher Albert Street track linking Ady Endre Street and Üllői Road. 

On 21 August, a Bengali tram will run on tram line 14 between Lehel Square and Káposztásmegyer.

Then on 22 August, passengers can ride tram No. 436, restored to its 1987 appearance to mark the centenary of Budapest's tram network, on the N2 route along the Pest embankment. Historic Ikarus 280T and Ikarus 435T trolleybuses will also operate on route N7583.

This nostalgia transport programme concludes on 23 August, when classic Ikarus buses return to the N4 route and a tram that is more than 100 years old will once again carry passengers on the N19 line.

Tickets can be purchased via the BudapestGO app, at BKK customer centres and ticket offices, or directly from staff on board the nostalgia services, with bank card payment also accepted.
