Home Sales Drop in Hungary
The number of home sales in Hungary was 7,120 in June, down from 10,187 in May, and down by 34.4% from 10,859 a year earlier, the Duna House property agency estimates.

The number of home sales in the first half amounted to 43,987, a decline of 41% from a year earlier, and also 47% lower than in the first half of 2021 and down by 26% from the first half of 2020.

Duna House originally forecast 2023 home sales of 90,000-110,000, but, based on the current figures it seems that the lower end is more feasible, Portfolio adds.

Analysts have been expecting a stronger second half, a view now supported by the newly announced changes in home purchase subsidies, the website notes.
