Downtown Beer Festival Takes Over Main Square in Budapest

More than 250 types of beer, craft specialities from the finest domestic breweries and cool food trucks take the spotlight at this week’s Downtown Beer Festival, taking place until 3 September.
With the aim of popularising Hungary’s beer culture, this annual event fills the main square of Szabadság tér, surrounded by grandiose buildings and dotted with major statues. DJs and live music also feature.
