Free-to-Visit: Special Christmas House Now Open in Hungary
One of Hungary's most unique stores showcasing Christmas recently opened its doors, creating a festive holiday atmosphere already well ahead of the Xmas season. The Christmas House in Gödöllő welcomes visitors every day until December 24, and they will also be open for a few days between the two holidays.

For 23 years now, this attraction has opened up for Christmas shopping just outside Budapest in Gödöllő every year, attracting tens of thousands of visitors not only from Hungary but also from beyond the borders.

"As a result of thorough preparations, we believe we have created the most spectacular and enchanting Christmas House in Hungary to date. We welcome everyone who wants to get into the holiday spirit, who is curious about this year's Christmas trends, and who wants to enjoy the fairytale setting after the rush of everyday life," the team behind the house wrote on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/Karacsonyhaz

Just like in previous years, this year they also plan Christmas-themed weekend programs, and the Grinch has been a returning guest at the Christmas House since 2019. Admission is free, but they can admit a maximum of 80 people at a time. You can find further information on their website:  https://karacsonyhaz.hu/ (in Hungarian).

The house is located in the center of Gödöllő, next to Route 3, opposite the castle, in the historic building of the Castle Captain's Residence.

From Monday to Saturday, Christmas enthusiasts are welcome from 9 am to 6 pm, and on Sundays until 5 pm.

Address:
2100 Gödöllő, Szabadság út 2.
