Budapest & Vienna Have Biggest Decrease in Traffic Jams Among European Cities
Budapest and Vienna have experienced the most significant decrease in traffic jams among European cities compared to the previous year, Budapest mayor Gergely Karácsony announced via his Facebook page.

Highlighting this positive trend in Budapest, he noted that while traffic jams have increased in most surveyed cities, the Hungarian capital stands out.

He stressed that this observation is based on data from an independent navigation company, and is not merely a claim made by the city.

“The key to addressing daily traffic jams lies in providing affordable and convenient public transport, rather than fostering the misconception that driving everywhere in a large city is a viable option,” Karácsony underlined.

While stating that the complete eradication of traffic jams in a major city is unrealistic, the mayor stressed the importance of offering viable alternatives to reduce traffic-related issues.
