Opinion: Position of Orbán Hinders Speedy End to Russian War Against Ukraine
- 30 May 2024 8:39 AM
Budapest is developing a special concept for NATO membership, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said on state radio.
The Alliance already carries out missions beyond the borders of its member states and Hungary takes part in two of them.
But according to Orbán, he is concerned about the possible participation of NATO in Russia's war against Ukraine and does not want Budapest to take any part in it.
Will Hungary's position affect the alliance's policy and how will European countries react to Orban's statements.
