Best Capital Market Performers Acknowledged at Awards Gala by Budapest Stock Exchange
Outstanding performers on the domestic capital market were recognized at the Best of BSE awards gala organized by the Budapest Stock Exchange.

The special prize for developing capital markets, presented for the first time this year, went to Wallis Group.

The prize for biggest listing of the year went to Gránit Bank, and Equilor Investment was named investment service provider of the year.

Prizes were awarded in 25 categories. Richard Végh, the bourse’s CEO, noted that market capitalization on the BSE had reached HUF 17.785 tln at the end of 2024.

Household holdings of equities reached HUF 2.5 tln and about 70% of that was in shares listed on the BSE, he added.

Végh said boosting household investment on the bourse was among the goals of the BSE’s five-year strategy and could be supported by attractive account constructions for long-term and pension savings paired with low administrative fees.
