Watchdog Probe Effects Changes to Influencer Endorsement Practices in Hungary
Hungary's Competition Office (GVH) has closed a probe of the operator of the Rolix YouTube channel and effected changes to the influencer's promotional practices, the watchdog said.

GVH found in the probe that the influencer, whose channel has over 280,000 subscribers, had failed to properly designate promotions for business partner ViharFlotta.

Both parties cooperated with GVH during the probe, changed their communications practices and waived their right of appeal. ViharFlotta was fined HUF 920,000.

GVH noted that it had found a number of compliance issues during a probe of six Hungarian influencers and a number of advertising companies conducted in the spring of 2024.
