Unfair Practices: GVH Takes Action Against Budapest-Based Online Retailer
The Competition Authority (GVH) has launched an inquiry into Peak Advisor, the Budapest-based operator of the online store Xiaomishop.hu, on suspicion of unfair commercial practices.

Peak Advisor may have misled consumers by falsely presenting itself as an official Hungarian reseller of the Chinese tech brand Xiaomi, despite lacking such authorisation.

The use of the "Official Partner" designation, the Xiaomi logo, and the domain name xiaomishop.hu may have conveyed the false impression of a formal affiliation with the manufacturer, the GVH added.

In addition, the online store may have misled consumers with stock information displayed on its website.
