How Hot? Heat Records Broken in Budapest & Hungary

HungaroMet said on its website on Monday that the temperature reached 39.9 degrees Celsius in Korosladany, southeast Hungary, on Sunday, nearly 1 degree up from the previous national record registered in 1948.
The early morning temperature was 25.5 C on János Hill in Budapest on Sunday, breaking the previous record of 24.2 C recorded in Lagymanyos in Budapest in 2017.
On Sunday afternoon in Budapest the temperature reached 38.7 C at the Ujpest monitoring station, breaking the previous record of 37.9 C recorded at the Orszagut station in 1948.
