Hungarian Railways Launches Direct Services to Ukrainian Cities
State railway company MÁV will connect Hungary with Berehove and Uzhhorod with direct train services from Friday.

The Tisza EuroCity trains will run from Budapest and Vienna to Uzhhorod, while new services will operate from Záhony to Berehove.

The development was made possible by co-operation between the Hungarian, Austrian and Ukrainian railway companies and by the reconstruction of the Transcarpathian network, including the extension in Ukraine of standard-gauge track compatible with the European system, MÁV said.

Tickets for the new services are available at box offices, while online sales will start in the second half of September.
