Rakpart Closing Weekend Events by the Danube in Budapest, 24 - 26 October

The 'RAKPART 2025 Closing Weekend' invites everyone to enjoy a relaxed, creative atmosphere along side the river. Organised by the Municipality of Budapest in cooperation with Valyo – City and River Association, the events aim to reconnect residents with public spaces and the waterfront.
This final weekend marks the close of a season that began in spring - when the road closed to traffic - filled with community programmes designed to make the Danube embankment a shared, people-centred space. Here's what to expect:
Friday, 24 October
15:00–20:00 – Valyo Since 2010: Retrospective exhibition celebrating 15 years of the association - Dunyi Exhibition Space
15:00–18:00 – Silk Painting Workshop - Area next to the Sandbox
16:00–18:00 – Clothes Swap - Area next to the Sandbox
17:00–18:00 – Scientific Picnic with Adaptér: “Has a database ever fooled you? Yet you still want to believe it again?” - Dunyi Exhibition Space
18:00–21:00 – Open Mic - Free Stage
Saturday, 25 October

14:00–17:00 – Re(RAKPART) Coaching - Fortepan Wall
14:00–18:00 – Playhouse Project: Board games by the river - Area next to the Sandbox

15:30–17:30 – CapsuleCycle – Creative Recycling! - Area next to the Sandbox
15:30–17:30 – You Design It! Bead workshop - Area next to the Sandbox

16:00–18:00 – Table Decoration Craft Workshop - Area next to the Sandbox
18:00–22:00 – Farewell Dinner - Area next to the Sandbox
18:00–18:45 – Budaörs Wind Orchestra Concert - Free Stage
19:00–22:00 – Mana Mana Records DJ Set - Free Stage
The RAKPART Closing Weekend is a free, open event offering something for all ages -from creative and eco-friendly workshops to live music and riverside relaxation.
It’s a chance to enjoy the car-free Danube embankment one last time before winter, and to celebrate how Budapest’s public spaces can bring people together.
