A total of 82 BYD electric buses will be put into service in the coming months.
Meanwhile, EV subsidies scheme extended
A subsidies scheme supporting businesses' purchases of electric vehicles has been extended by three months until the end of February, state secretary Gabor Czepek said in a message on Facebook.
Czepek said the HUF 40bn scheme could raise the number of EVs in Hungary to 100,000 this year.
The scheme, funded from the European Union's REPowerEU, offers businesses grants of between HUF 2.8m and HUF 4m per vehicle, depending on battery capacity.
