JazzTime, Palace of Arts Budapest, 29 - 31 August
The JazzTime Festival returns to the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall this summer, bringing together world-renowned jazz performers and top Hungarian talent for three special evenings.

29 August – Lisa Fischer with Grand Baton & Pannon Philharmonic

The festival opens with Lisa Fischer, whose remarkable vocal range and expressive style have captivated audiences worldwide. After winning a Grammy for her solo work, she spent decades touring as a first-class backing vocalist for The Rolling Stones, Sting, and Tina Turner.

Since 2014, Fischer has returned to performing in her own right, collaborating with her band Grand Baton. For this concert, they will be joined by the Pannon Philharmonic, known for their flair in crossing musical genres.

30 August – Dizzy Gillespie Big Band with Kriszta Pocsai

The second evening celebrates the legacy of jazz legend Dizzy Gillespie, one of the founders of bebop. Led by bassist John Lee, the Dizzy Gillespie Big Band keeps his musical spirit alive while bringing fresh energy to the stage. Their guest will be Hungarian vocalist Kriszta Pocsai, well-known for her dynamic performances with big bands.

31 August – Morgan James with Doug Wamble & Budapest Jazz Orchestra

The closing concert features Morgan James, a versatile American vocalist equally at home in jazz, musicals, and opera. She is widely recognised for her work with Postmodern Jukebox, which reimagines contemporary hits in vintage styles, as well as for her acclaimed solo albums. James will perform alongside her husband, guitarist Doug Wamble, and the Budapest Jazz Orchestra.

Dates: 29–31 August 2025
Venue: Béla Bartók National Concert Hall, Müpa Budapest
