Biz Insight: Leasing Market Grows 7% in Hungary but Still Well Under EU Average
The value of new leases in Hungary rose 7pc to HUF 1,037bn in 2025, the head of the Hungarian Leasing Association said.

The number of new contracts edged up 1pc to 85,166.

Vehicle leases accounted for HUF 607bn of the total contract value. The value of farm machinery leases reached HUF 93bn.

The whole leasing portfolio increased 5.6pc to HUF 2,508bn, while contract numbers inched down 1pc to 315,656.

Hungary's 12pc leasing market penetration rate is well under the 28pc European Union average.
