Rosalia Wine Picnic, City Park Budapest, 29 May – 1  June
This free open-air gastro fest seamlessly blends Hungary’s top rosé wines and fine bubbles, gourmet street food, live music, and a relaxed picnic atmosphere, making it a delight for locals and expats alike.

The most anticipated early-summer celebration in the lush expanse of City Park is on again in 2025, where around 60 wineries and 20 food stands will serve up fine tastes over 3 days.

Entrance is free and includes live music programmes - only an official Rosalia glass needs to be rented or purchased, and then you pay for wines and food consumed.

Notable rosés will be available from the Borbély Family Winery from Badacsony, Dubicz Winery from Mátra and Garamvári Vineyard from South Balaton.

Attendees can also indulge in over 100 gold medal-winning wines from the prestigious VinAgora International Wine Competition, providing a unique opportunity to taste award-winning selections in one place.

Gourmet Street Food Galore 

Complementing the wine offerings, Rosalia features an impressive lineup of food vendors, serving both traditional Hungarian dishes and international favorites, like:
 

  • Raclette by Lili: Serving melted French raclette cheese over freshly baked baguettes with a variety of toppings.

  • Zing Burger: Offering juicy burgers made from Balatonfenyves Angus beef and locally sourced vegetables.

  • Nemo Fish & Chips & Seafood Truck: Specialising in classic fish & chips, usually along with calamari rings and shrimp cocktails.


Also there amoung others will be Smokey Monkies BBQ, Pizza Me, Csevapivo Balkan Grill, and Waffle Dog returns with original Belgian and bubble waffles - along with fruity milkshakes for those who don't drink wine!

Plus visitors can relax in the FeteKert area by Máltai Manufaktúra, enjoying beanbag seating and a variety of handcrafted delicacies, including savory stews, artisan sandwiches, and gluten-free options.

Beyond the culinary experiences, Rosalia offers a wide program of entertainment:
 

  • Live Music: A diverse lineup of performers will provide the soundtrack to the outdoor festival experience.

  • Family-Friendly Activities: This festival caters to all ages, with activities and entertainment suitable for children and families.

  • The Rosalia Creative Corner is specifically for kids, there will be a Las Vegas Casino Play Lounge for adults, and the Museum of Ethnography will be there to entertain all curious minds.

You’ll only need a blanket because everything else, from cooled rosé to chilled champagne, easy white, or refreshing spritz, will be available on-site. 

At the end of spring, we open the wine festival season with Budapest’s biggest garden party picnic. The Rosalia Wine Picnic team awaits enthusiasts of fine wines and nice bites with numerous programs and discoveries in the capital’s most beautiful park.”
