The European Commission has activated a regulatory tool capable of restricting the content of social media ahead of the Hungarian election, Fidesz MEP Csaba Domotor said in Budapest on Wednesday. "After the oil blockade, here's the Facebook blockade."
Former Ukrainian deputy Hryhoriy Omelchenko has threatened Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and his family in a video uploaded to YouTube, news portal Index.hu reported on Wednesday.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has effectively issued a death threat against Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, Péter Szijjártó, the foreign minister, declared at a public forum on Thursday in Sopron. "But Hungary cannot be blackmailed, no matter what threats are made," he said, adding that Zelensky had gone "beyond all limits".
Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said at a campaign stop in Petervasara, in norther Hungary, that the Tisza Party was funded by Ukraine. "This isn't speculation or a suspicion; it's documented in a written report submitted to the national security committee."
