Fidesz to Head Four Parliament Committees in Hungary

Janos Bencsik will lead the finance and budget committee, Alexandra Szentkiralyi the culture committee, Robert Zsigo the social affairs committee, and Zsolt V Nemeth will chair the environment committee. The legislative committee will have two Fidesz deputy chairs, Attila Tilki and David Hejj.
Outgoing Justice Minister Bence Tuzson will serve as deputy chair of the justice committee. Zsolt Nemeth, the outgoing head of the foreign affairs committee, will become its deputy chair, while outgoing culture minister Balazs Hanko will take on the same role in the education committee.
The national security committee will include two Fidesz members, former group leader Mate Kocsis, who is the incoming deputy group leader, and Barbara Hegedus.
Gergely Gulyas outgoing minister of the prime minister's office and the leader of Fidesz's group of 44 lawmakers in the new parliament, will be a member of the legislation committee. Meanwhile, outgoing state secretary Miklos Panyi will serve as a deputy head of the financial and budgetary committee.
The committee for economic and energy affairs will have two Fidesz lawmakers as deputy heads: Mihaly Witzmann and Piroska Szalai Varga. Outgoing foreign minister Peter Szijjarto will serve as a member, the statement said.
Balint Nagy, the outgoing state secretary for transport, will be the deputy leader of the transport and investment committee.
Agriculture chamber head Zsolt Papp will serve as deputy head of the agricultural and food economy committee, while outgoing EU affairs minister Janos Boka will be second-in-command at the EU affairs committee.
Peter Takacs, the outgoing state secretary for health, will go on to serve as deputy head of the health-care committee.
The new committee for social participation will have Balazs Hidveghi, the outgoing state secretary of the Prime Minister's Office, as a deputy leader. Hidveghi and lawmaker Gyula Budai will also serve as members of the committee on lawmakers' immunity.
