National Holiday Fireworks In Budapest, 20 August

The fireworks closing the national holiday celebrating Hungary’s statehood are among the most spectacular events of the year.

More than 21,000 pyrotechnic effects were seen during this 25-minute show in Budapest on St. Stephenʼs Day, August 20th, celebrating the foundation of Hungary by its first Christian king.

This yearʼs fireworks show was handled by the same company as last year, Nuvu Kft., but at a slightly cheaper cost according to BBJ.hu: in 2017 the display cost HUF 224 mln and this year it was HUF 222 mln.
