Xpat Charity Party, 'Fireworks Night' @ Budapest Marriott (1of2)
Main sponsor representative Liam Crow commented, "FirstMed was very pleased to be a part of this year's Xpatloop charity event helping raise HUF 4.5 million for local charities supporting those less fortunate. We had a great time meeting old friends and making new ones during the evening."
"FirstMed's mascot FirstMedve remarked that he never felt as relaxed as he did after the four-hand Thai massage," added Liam with typical good humour.
Deputy Ambassador at the British Embassy, Caitlin Jones said, "I really enjoyed the opportunity to meet some lovely new people. Being able to enjoy the terrace with that fabulous view was an extra bonus". At the event she made an informative and entertaining speech about the British theme of the evening, 'Fireworks Night', as she brought to the virtual bonfire & fireworks display to life.
Gabor Patzauer, Founder & President of Csodalámpa, said: "It was a great honour again, for the 6th time, that our Magic Lamp Foundation was chosen as a beneficiary of the Xpat Charity Party. All the guests including us enjoyed the many different programs, the exotic assortment of foods and drinks, and last but not least the excellent networking possibilities.
I would like to thank XpatLoop.com and its readers, special guests and performers for their support of Magic Lamp’s mission to grant wishes for children suffering from a life endangering illness. An extra thanks goes to The Red Line for their surprise, as the band wore T-shirts printed with the names of the beneficiary charities, great idea!"
This annual networking extravaganza for the international community in Hungary, which celebrated the 18th anniversary of XpatLoop, included lots of live music, plenty of refreshments, plus a few surprises. Surprise magic was performed directly to guests by Anna Balogh, "the most sought-after female magician in Hungary", and 'Taste & Play' provided wine casino games for fun throughout the evening.
MC Hans Peterson, with Zsuzsa Demcsak, adeptly guided guests from Budapest’s business, diplomatic, and cultural circles through the stages of this 'feel good' event supporting Hungarian children in need. Celebrity chef Marvin Gauci was once again one of the stars of the show, as he greatly contributed to the charity fundraising total as the host of the Live Auction.
Live pop, soul and funky numbers by Cintia and Andras got the party started, then the beautifully talented Klára Hajdu performed jazz on the main stage, next expat band The Red Line rocked the house with Red Hot Chili Peppers covers, followed by party tunes from Mr. T of Buddha-Bar.
Venue Sponsor: Budapest Marriott Hotel, Silver Sponsors: Special Effects International, Bronze Sponsors: Pászka & Partners, Stan Ahuja Couture.
