Meanwhile using the computer for creative things like painting and making music instead of gaming. 2006 a great decision brought Adam to Budapest which is actually the city of his roots, both of his parents are born there. Since 2006 until today, Adam is working for the same multinational IT Company as UNIX/Storage Administrator.
The business language is german and english. Since 2009 he also opened his own music recording studio called "Budabeat". He was already working there with several artists and bands from Hungary and other countries. 1. When did you arrive in Hungary and what brought you here?
In July 2006 I knew that I will lose my job as Software Tester in Munich, Germany and I was willing to gain a little bit working experience in another country than germany, where I was born. So I applied in Munich, but also in Budapest, since I was a little capable of the language and also got some relatives living here. After one week I got 2 negative answers from munich and 3 positive from Budapest. So 1 week later i was travelling to Budapest and had 3 interviews. Just 3 days later I had the fantastic job as UNIX Administrator in, that I was always looking for. So in October 2006 I moved here and from November I started my job, at which I often have to go home to Munich, because I have some colleagues over there.
2. Have you ever been an expatriate elsewhere?
Not yet, but I would love to work and settle for some years in the USA, actually in NYC.

I was often here on holidays, visiting my relatives and more and more I realized the fact that I feel really confortable and relaxed in this country, so this was the main reason to apply for a job in Hungary.
4. Friends are in Budapest for a weekend - what must they absolutely see and do?
I guess the place to see is "Szimpla Kertmozi", since its a very unique one and one of a kind, also if local people are already bored by the hype about it. It is still always a good alternative to go there to take a drink and watch a concert.
