1. What’s been happening at work and at home since your first Xpat Interview?

This time was filled with fruitful work and a true love for the benefit of the Hungarian-Croatian relations. At home it has not changed much except that my youngest child has grown.

2. On a scale of 1 to 10 how happy are you with your life in Hungary, and why?
10. For this high score you will probably say that this is a diplomatic answer. In any case, I want to assure you how I truly feel myself in Hungary.

3. What’s the best party you’ve been to while in Hungary, and why?
There have been many. It is part of diplomatic life.

4. What’s your favourite drink?
Unicum before starters and rosé during the lunch.

5. What hidden talents do you have?
The love for music, but don’t have time to practice.

6. What was the most interesting travel trip you have ever taken?
So far to Cuba – a beautiful country and people who are living in the style of the last century.

7. If you were given a wish that could come true, what would you ask for?
Just peace and no war.

8. What’s the last book you read, and movie you watched?
The Sleepwalkers – how Europe went to war in 1914. Movie? No time for movies.

9. If someone wrote a biography about you, what would the title be?
The man with energy and weaknesses.

10. What is the perfect pizza toppings combination for you?
Only spicy toppings acceptable (with chilli).

11. If you could trade places with any other person for a week, real or fictional, with whom would it be?
With my son. He has the best life.

12. On a scale of 1 to 10 how unusual are you, and why?
I think I am normal or usual, otherwise I would have been different.

13. What’s the best website you’ve ever visited, and why?
I really don’t remember. There are plenty of them.

14. Who do you admire the most, and why?
I admire the most the people who have a hard life, health and financial problems, but still endure stoically and with dignity the hardships of their life.

15. What do you like best and least about living in Hungary?
The best I like about living in Hungary is the awareness and cognition of the cultural similarity of our two peoples. The least I like is the poor rail connections between Zagreb and Budapest.

16. What has made the biggest impact on your life so far, and why?
Feeling that only our actions and results are the mirror or reflections of our will. Why? When there is a will there is a way.

17. If you won USD 30 million, what would you do with the money?
First of all, I would think it over before starting any action.

18. If your life had a theme song, what would it be?
"Ganga" singing (a cappella) from Dalmatia.

19. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
In my homeland – Croatia.

20. In ten years from now what will you be doing?
I would like to be Ambassador again, somewhere in South America.
