The notary of the Eight District has closed the club Auróra with immediate effect after 15 customers were found with the possession of drugs during a police raid, the local government announced.

Organisers of the Red Bull air race settled for an abbreviated contest yesterday, after Saturday’s qualifying session was completely wiped out by the heavy rain and wind. Mathias Dolderer of Germany was declared the winner after two rounds.

Tens of thousands of people lined the Budapest banks of the Danube to watch the car, motor sport and air show called Nagy Futam (Great Race) in downtown Budapest last Sunday. As part of the show, three planes twice flew under the Chain Bridge simultaneously. The stunt was spectacular but nearly ended badly, because on both occasions one of the planes flew too low and bounced off the Danube.
