A hunting shop in Hungary has bought thousands of rocket-propelled weapons from the Hungarian armed forces, the opposition PM party’s spokesman said. Bence Tordai cited defence ministry contracts showing that in 2013 and 2014 the company bought 1,357 air launched rockets, 83 nose guns and 52 airborne rockets from the Hungarian army for 7.5 million forints (EUR 24,000).

Prosecutors have ordered an investigation into the damaging of the Soviet memorial on Szabadság tér on October 23 by Jobbik MP Elõd Novák, state news channel M1 reported. Novák had attempted to remove the hammer and sickle from the monument after holding a press conference on the square. When police stopped him, Novák began to attack the plinth of the memorial with a hammer and chisel.
