Hungarian students won three silver and one bronze medals at the International Chemistry Olympiad held in Dubai between July 5 and 14, the head of the Hungarian team said on Monday.

We could hold a celebration, as they usually do on such major anniversaries, we could enumerate numbers, records, and results. And we could list the names of everyone who has contributed to everything that has been created over the past years.

Ambassador Kounalakis attended a memorial ceremony honoring Mihaly Kovats on May 11, 2012 in Karcag. Colonel Kovats, a native of Karcag, left Hungary to fight in the American Revolutionary War. He wrote a letter to Benjamin Franklin offering his services and then recruited, trained and led the first U.S. cavalry unit into battle.
