“Light and Shadow” at The Budapesti Történeti Múzeum, takes you back 1000 years - in an elegant display - in the history of Budapest. It is set against a backdrop of blue and green, which meanders along the Danube guiding you through the flow of time, from Roman prehistory, through the Hungarian conquest to the present.

By Ferenc Kumin: Recalling Hungarian tourism back in 1989, the year of the opening of the iron curtain, it was quite a bit different from what we find today. Back then, Hungary, particularly Lake Balaton, was a popular summer destination for tourists from East Germany and other parts of the eastern bloc but a little off the beaten path for most others. How times have changed.

In addition to the Margaret Island Open-air Stage entrance to the end of summer every Friday, Saturday and Sunday open from 11 pm to 17 pm in the Nostalgia train horses. The Hungarian Railway History Park can be viewed during the initial seven-car train horses, but who wants to try a horse-drawn procession, the weekend visit established under the amphitheater entrance space.

In addition to music and lights, unique performances, laser shows and awesome visuals will amaze dancers floating in the 37 degrees Celsius thermal water.
