Following the June expansion of the public bike-sharing system with 15 docking stations, five new MOL Bubi stations opened on 31 July 2015 at the following locations: District 2 –Mechwart liget, District 9 – Vendel utca and Bakáts tér, District 13 – Dózsa György út M and Váci út-Bulcsú utca.

Centre for Budapest Transport (BKK) awarded German-based global solutions provider Scheidt & Bachmann a €91 mln five-year contract to design, supply and manage an automated multi-modal fare collection system, railwaygazette.com reported.
