TAP Portugal has announced the re-launch of direct flights between Budapest and the Portuguese capital, Lisbon. The route will operate as of 1 July 2017, every day except Fridays, seven times a week in total, with Airbus A319 type aircraft.

For a period of about three months from the start of this December, metro line M2 will not serve the Kossuth Lajos tér M in either direction, due to the demolition of the MTESZ building. From Deák Ferenc tér, Kossuth Lajos tér can be reached by replacement bus M2A. Additionally, BKK provides a new shuttle-boat service, line D2 between Batthyány tér and Kossuth Lajos tér.

Prime Minister Viktor Orbán met Viktor Zubkov, head of the board of directors of gas company Gazprom, in Budapest on Monday. The meeting marked the 20th anniversary of Hungary’s gas supply agreement with the Russian company, Orbán’s press chief, Bertalan Havasi, told MTI.

Gelsey, who intends to leave his his status as a member of the Board unaffected, will be replaced as chairman by Erik Bogsch, Richter’s Chief Executive Officer.

Hungary currently has around 15,000 homeless people and 4,000 or so live on the streets at night, the head of a charity for the homeless said. Péter Győri, chairman of the board of the Shelter Foundation, told MTI that between 10,000 and 11,000 look for shelters in which to stay.
