The International Modern Pentathlon Union (UIPM) officially declared at its congress in Tbilisi on Sunday that Budapest had won the right to host the World Modern Pentathlon Championships in 2019 and the Laser-run World Championships to be held simultaneously.

On 11 November Budapestians Daniel Kaali and Brody House Group co-founder William Clothier travel to the Nevada desert to compete in the World’s Toughest Mudder (WTM) Event - a gruelling 24-hour non-stop obstacle course race. Competitors race to complete as many of the specially designed 5-mile laps as possible in a 24-hour period.

Former Csepel player József Tóth, who played 12 times for the Hungarian national team between 1953 and 1957, died on 9 October, aged 88. The Hungarian Football Federation has been informed by József Tóth’s family that the former Golden Team member passed away this Monday.
