The 11th annual Budapest Circus Festival begins today with 75 performers from 13 countries at the Fõvárosi Cirkusz. A selection panel has chosen 30 acts from around the world to compete in the international competition in Budapest from Thursday through to next Monday.

The first Budapest Circus Festival was held 20 years ago, in 1996 and as a result of the notion and casting of the professionals of the Hungarian Circus And Variety Non-profit Ltd. (MACIVA) it soon proved to be equal with the great festivals of the circus world: in addition to Monte Carlo, Latina and Moscow also Budapest has become an important meeting place for the circus art.
Hungarian State To Grant HUF 10 Million Aid To Couples Agreeing To Have Three Children

The State will grant HUF 10 million non-repayable aid for the purchase of new homes to young couples who agree to have three children within ten years, the Minister heading the Prime Minister’s Office announced at the press conference Governmentinfo 35 which he held jointly with Government Spokesperson Zoltán Kovács.
