Balaton Wineries Shine Again at Wine Grand Prix in Hungary

The Hungarian Wine Writers’ Circle (MBK) has announced the winners of its annual Grand Prix, with Lake Balaton’s wine regions once again claiming the top honours. In the white wine category, the 2024 Kéknyelű from Bálint Földi (Badacsony) took the top spot, while the 2021 Peregrina blend from Zelna Winery (Balatonfüred) was named the best red.

Visitors can taste the wines of Italy’s main wine regions ranging from Piedmont to Sicily at the fiveday festival featuring more than two hundred of Hungary’s vineyards and wines as well.
