The most prestigious title of Hungarian wine life is given out annually at the end of the year. The process of the election begins with the nomination period: influencers, wine writers are asked to name the winemaker of their choice and then members of Hungarian Wine Academy vote for one of the 5 candidates (the candidates are those who receive the most nominations).

Szilárd Tóth, chef de cuisine at SALT restaurant in Budapest, has been included in The Best Chef 100. Every year, 100 new chefs are nominated, but the top 100 from the previous year remain in the running, leaving 200 candidates competing, reports Index.
