"Management of Hungarian telecoms group Magyar Telekom have on Thursday confirmed market rumours that the company intends to enter the energy market as a service provider. Although MTel’s primary means to give cash to its shareholders remains dividend payment, it aims to keep its option open to repurchase own shares, CFO Tilo Kusch told a background meeting with journalists.
Budapest Transport Co. Gives Ultimatum To Alstom For Delayed Metro Delivery

"Rolling rock maker Alstom is to deliver the new trainsets for Budapest’s M2 metro line with another four-month delay, Hungarian news portal index.hu reported. While the last pledge of Alstom was to deliver the trains by February, it now set the deadline to end-June, saying it will obtain the homologation certificates only by then.

The local audience cannot afford more concerts by international stars, according to event organisers. A dozen pop idols have been scheduled to play in Hungary this year. Gigs usually attract full houses, but profits are scarce.
