The Gabrieli Choir's final concert before the summer break takes place on Friday 10th June at the Herminamezői Szentlélek templom (Bp., XIV., Kassai tér), starting at half past seven. There are four contrasting works on the programme - dating from the 18th to the 21st centuries - and chief of these is a joyful jazz mass: the Mass in Blue by Will Todd (1970- ).

Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó met Wang Xiaotao, deputy director of China’s National Development and Reform Commission, to discuss issues around the Budapest-Belgrade railway refurbishment project, in Budapest. Parties at the talks agreed that the legal framework for the scheme would be “fully in line with European regulations”, the foreign ministry said.

UNICEF Hungary’s campaign against child abuse has reached its aim and started a public debate about the topic, the international organization reports, also stating it regrets that many social organisation misinterpreted the campaign’s message - see related article link below. UNICEF went on to state that nearly 30 000 children over the last 5 years became victims of violence in Hungary.
