Hungary’s Committee for Hungarikums has recently added two new treasures to its prestigious national register: the csárda, a traditional Hungarian inn, and Badacsony kéknyelű, a rare native grape variety grown exclusively in the Lake Balaton region. These are now officially recognised as Hungarikums – exceptional elements of Hungary’s cultural and gastronomic heritage.
MÁV-Volán to Offer Refunds for Late Services in Hungary from 1 June

In a historic move, state-owned railway and bus group MÁV-Volán will roll out an earlier pledged refund system for late service from June 1, Janos Lazar, the construction and transportation minister announced this week.
