The Bridging Europe arts festival will focus on German culture during its four-day programme starting on Sept. 10 this year. The festival organised for the second time by the Palace of Arts and the Budapest Festival Orchestra seeks to find connections between Hungarian culture and the cultures of other countries through music. Italy will be the guest of honour at the 23rd Budapest Wine Festival to be held between Sept. 10 and 14 in the Buda Castle, with a spotlight on barolo, brunello, chianti, prosecco and more. Visitors can taste the wines of Italy’s main wine regions ranging from Piedmont to Sicily at the fiveday festival featuring more than two hundred of Hungary’s vineyards and wines as well.

Sziget Festival has attracted a record weekly crowd of 415 000 this year. Passes were sold out already before the start of the event and on Thursday there was full house with 85 000 fans on the island.
