Hungarians Keen On Buying Electric Vehicles, Reject Diesel

Some 29% of Hungarians currently planning to buy a car would prefer an electric vehicle (EV), while only 13% would consider purchasing a diesel car, according to research by energy company E.ON and German survey institute Kantar EMNID.

Hungary’s Competition Office (GVH) on Monday said it fined Auchan Magyarország 1 billion forints (EUR 3.3m) for charging suppliers to stock their products in its inventory. GVH found that Auchan had unilaterally charged about three-quarters of its non-food suppliers the fee in 2006-2014.
Stricter Retail Pricing Law Passed In Hungary
