This year’s “medium-level” secondary school final exams in Mathematics and Hungarian Language have produced worse results than last year, the daily newspaper Magyar Nemzet reports, citing data provided by the Hungarian Educational Authority. Results in basic-level Mathematics, which are the worst in six years, give cause for special concern, the article says.

Capa in Color presents the color work of the world-renowned Hungarian-born photographer taken between 1938 and 1954. The show was first exhibited in New York last year. Museum of Applied Arts: Ödön Lechner (1845–1914), one of the greatest figures in Hungarian architecture, and certainly its most original, deserves a prominent place among the international talents from the turn of the century. According to tradition, the Lechner family, who had their own coat of arms, had migrated to Hungary from Bavaria.
