Spending on film production in Hungary as a percentage of economic output is by far the highest in Europe. Hungary provided the production base for 250 movies and television films in 2010-2014, the media authority (NMHH) reported, commenting on European Audiovisual Observatory data. Productions averaged 46 billion forints (EUR 151m) each year over the period.

The National Bank of Hungary (NBH) as a supervisory authority has suspended with immediate effect the operating licence of brokerage firm Buda-Cash Brókerház and appointed supervisory commissioners because of suspicious cases that have come to its knowledge, the NBH said, adding that it had also filed a criminal complaint with police over the matter.
